Assistant Principal
Lindsay Erickson

My name is Lindsay Erickson, and I am privileged to serve as the Assistant Principal at Ute Meadows Elementary School.

Originally from western Massachusetts, I relocated to Colorado after high school to attend the University of Denver, where I earned two Bachelor's of Arts degrees and a Master's degree in Education and Instruction.  Later, I pursued a graduate degree in Administration and Leadership from CU Denver. I  remain a lifelong learner, continually seeking opportunities for growth and development whenever possible.

With over two decades dedicated to education, I have had the privilege of working with  diverse student populations across a wide range of ages, from pre-K to 12th grade. My journey began working with pre-K students in two Denver elementary schools. Then I became a social studies teacher at Abraham Lincoln High School, where I also served as the girls' varsity soccer coach. I later transitioned to Kunsmiller Creative Arts Academy, initially as an instructional coach, before assuming the role of Assistant Principal for eight years. I then spent a year as a principal resident and as a mentor for aspiring new leaders, further enriching my experience in educational leadership.

I am thrilled to be a part of  this remarkable community and work alongside such a dedicated and knowledgeable staff. I am committed to fostering academic excellence by creating a nurturing learning environment where every student can thrive. I also prioritize implementing culturally responsive education practices to actively remove barriers to learning, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to succeed. I believe in supporting not only students' academic growth but also their social and emotional development. My goal is to help students build confidence, take pride in their achievements, and cultivate a lifelong love of learning.

I am the proud parent of three wonderful children, and they continuously remind me that each child is unique, with their own strengths, needs, and dynamic personalities. Outside of school, I cherish spending time with my family, often attending their sporting events and extracurricular activities. I also love volunteering as a youth sports coach and engaging in outdoor activities like hiking, snowboarding, and biking.

I am excited to collaborate with you all this school year and look forward to building strong, positive relationships with the staff, community, and students. Together, we strive to ensure that our students have a fulfilling and joyful school experience.

Instructional Coach
Bonnie Kurtz

Hello! I am Mrs. Bonnie Kurtz, and I’m excited and grateful to be joining the Ute Meadows team in the role of Instructional Coach. I am a proud product of Jeffco Schools (Go Chatfield Chargers!), received my Bachelors from University of Northern Colorado, and earned my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado at Denver.

I spent the first part of my career at Foothills Elementary in Lakewood. During that time, I taught second, third, and fourth grades. For the last nine years, I have served as Instructional Coach supporting pre-kindergarten through fifth grades. After twenty-five years, I’m elated to be able to return to the community where I grew up.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two daughters, and two dogs. We love camping, hiking, skiing, traveling, and any opportunity to make memories together. I also enjoy reading, gardening, running, and taking evening walks.

I am committed to providing students with the tools they need to be academically and socially successful, and I am honored to be able to join the Ute Meadows community.
